Garden Fun

This past weekend we had some wonderful weather. My flower beds got some much needed attention. We also had our garden areas tilled. I was able to plant some of our colder weather veggies (squash, cabbage, etc.) Our little daughter was able to partake in her first Annual Hummingbird Hill Easter Egg Hunt with one of her little friends. Baby A found one egg all by herself (not to bad for 10 months old eh?). It was just such a relief to soak up some sun, fresh air and be outside for more than just a few minutes.

Swimming Dogs

The dogs received a new pool and they are in heaven! I purchased them an upgraded bigger kiddy pool, so now three of them can fit in the pool at the same time. After a run for the ball all of the dogs will go swimming. I even caught Kodiak in the pool on our sunny day this past Saturday.

Chick, chick, here... chick, chick, there....

We currently have 29 chicks in our garage puppy manger. We decided to cull our current flock and add some new birds. We will save at least four of our older birds to supply eggs for our family through the summer. These current chicks should start to lay around 16-18 weeks of age (Late September or so).
